Obituary

Turner Humphrey, born on September 29, 1960, in Port St. Joe, Florida, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Raised in Wildwood, FL, by his Aunt Pauline Fisher after the passing of his mother, Bessie Mae Williams, Turner was known for his love of basketball and his dedication to his family. He graduated from Wildwood High School in 1979 and pursued higher education at Santa Fe Community College and Edward Waters College, where he continued to play basketball.

Turner married Vanessa Anderson on August 27, 1988, and together they shared 37 wonderful years. He was a devoted family man, cherishing time spent with his children and grandchildren, especially enjoying their company during family outings.

Professionally, Turner worked for Stringfellow Supply Company and later Gulfeagle Supply, where he became a Warehouse Manager, dedicating 31 years to the company. His faith was a cornerstone of his life; he was an active member of Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and Holy Ghost Outreach Prayer Ministry, where he was licensed to preach and led a prison ministry.

Turner is survived by his loving wife Vanessa, his children Turner Jr., Dorell, Tarena, Tiras, and Sarena, and a host of grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. He is predeceased by his mother, daughter Tiffany James, granddaughter Catherine Marie Humphrey, and several other cherished family members.

Turner's legacy is one of love, faith, and dedication to family. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous heart, and unwavering support for those he loved.
