Rickia La-fay Johnson, born on July 28, 1990, passed away on March 22, 2026. A beloved mother, she leaves behind her daughter, Gentavia, who cherishes the memories of their time together. Rickia was known for her sweet nature and her desire to share love with everyone around her. Her beautiful smile and kind words will be dearly missed.

"For everything there is a season" Ecclesiastes 3:1
A season to be born. On July 28, 1990, the world was blessed with the arrival of a beautiful and joyful baby girl, Rickia L. Johnson. She was welcomed by her parents, Ricky Johnson and Debbie Golf. Her arrival brought immense joy to the entire family, forever touching their lives with love and warmth.

In her early infancy, Rickia was tenderly entrusted to the care of her grandparents-who adopted Rickia, John and Joanna Johnson. The three shared a deep, unbreakable bond that remained strong until the Lord called her home.

A season to learn. -  A season to work.  As time passed, that beautiful baby girl blossomed into a remarkable young lady and began her journey through the educational system. She received her K–12 education in the Wildwood School System, where she grew both academically and personally. During that time she participated in weightlifting and the flag corps. Rickia graduated with the class of 2008.  Her favorite football team was Kansas City Chiefs.  She loved gathering new recipes and wanted her grandparents, John and Joanna to cook them. Driven by a strong desire to evolve and succeed, Rickia pursued higher education and went on to obtain her certification to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant from Lake Technical School and Withlacoochee College, continuing to build a future filled with purpose and determination. Rickia spent her years working in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Activities Coordinator, and Medical Assistant. She truly loved caring for others and had a special way of making people feel seen, comforted, and at ease. With her warm spirit, kind heart, and natural bedside manner, she brought light and reassurance to those who needed it most.

A season to love .  God blessed Rickia with many titles and roles throughout her life, but the most cherished of them all was "Mommy." Rickia was blessed with the birth of her only child, Gentavia Lilliana Johnson. Rickia's heart overflowed with love and joy at her arrival, embracing motherhood with a deep and unwavering devotion that became one of her greatest sources of pride and happiness.

A season to worship and serve .   At an early age Rickia felt the tug of God. She was saved and baptized of the holy spirit under the leadership of the late Bishop Leslie J. Hannah, now under the leadership of Bishop Henry Goldsmith. She faithfully served on the dance ministry team, Gloria, where she expressed her love for worship through movement. Alongside her daughter, she also fellowshipped with the Pinnacle Church of God, participating in the dance team and youth department under the leadership of Pastor David Ricks. Rickia's faith meant everything to her and remained at the heart of how she lived, loved, and served others. She was a member of the Women's Empowerment Ministry under the leadership of Evangelist Sharon Caruthers and Women of Worship by Sis Patricia Holt.

A season to enjoy life .  In her spare time, Rickia enjoyed sightseeing and exploring new places, going on drives with her daughter and mother, and spending time enjoying the presence of her family and church family.

A season to morn .  -   A season to rest.  Rickia was preceded in death by her sister, Krista Loman. On March 22, 2026, the Lord saw fit to call Rickia home to eternal glory.

Rickia was fortunate and blessed to have experienced the love of a large family and many friends. She leaves behind cherished memories with her loving daughter, Gentavia Johnson, whom she adored. She is also survived by her grandmother and adoptive mother, Joanna Johnson, and her grandfather and adoptive father, John Johnson.

She leaves behind her biological parents, Debbie Gulf and Ricky Johnson.

Rickia also had the joy of considering her aunts and uncles as honorary siblings. Among them were Maranda  (Kyle) Johnson-Austell and Michael (Rebecca) Douglas, who embraced Rickia not only as their niece but also as their little sister.

Her siblings, Jasmin Loman and Sylicia Johnson, with whom she shared a beautiful and unbreakable bond. Rickia also expressed her love and care for her extended siblings, cherishing the connections she had with each of them.

She was also cherished by her godparents, Carla and Ronnie Bailey, Sr., whom she held in great respect and affection.

Rickia also shared a cherished friendship with Grannie, Lorraine Robinson, a bond she deeply valued. Rickia also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
