Joan Marlene Murray, born on January 30, 1955, passed away on May 25, 2026. She was a beloved sister, aunt, grandmother, and mentor who touched the lives of many. Joan's life journey was celebrated on July 11, 2026, at The City Ministries in Wildwood, Florida, where family and friends gathered to honor her legacy.

Joan was deeply involved with The Venezuela & Jamaica Cultural and Language Exchange Institute, where she served as a mentor, impacting lives in Venezuela, Jamaica, and the USA. Her family, including her sister Beverly Harvey, grandchildren Joshua and Alicia Thomas, and nephew Everett Thompson, shared heartfelt tributes, reflecting on her life and the indelible mark she left on those around her.

The service was led by Pastor Lorenzo Fields, with contributions from various ministers and family members. A repast followed at the Coleman Community Center, where attendees continued to celebrate Joan's life and the love she shared with all who knew her.
