The Life and Legacy of Gwennette Gant

Gwennette "Gwen" Gant, born November 30, 1954. She was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and honorable United States Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her. Gwen's strength, compassion, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone blessed to know her.

Gwen graduated from Wildwood High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and built the foundation for the values that guided her throughout her life. Shortly after, she went on to proudly serve her country for 13 years in the United States Air Force, embodying courage, dedication, and integrity. Her service reflected the resilience and discipline that shaped her character and the lives she touched.

Family was the center of Gwen's world. She was the loving mother of two daughters, Toniele Rojas and Paige L. Gant and the cherished grandmother of two grandsons, Kayden and Noah, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was a guiding light—steady, supportive, and endlessly caring.

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie A. Patterson, and Mother Elvira Brown, her two brothers, Charlie Patterson Jr. and Vernon Patterson, one sister, Phyllis Patterson and one great-nephew, Julian Jr. She is survived by her two sisters, Virgina Gale Patterson and Tina L. Brown, three nieces, Crystal L. Patterson, Kelsi A. Johnson, and Kamarea C. Jenkins, three nephews, Julian T. Patterson, Joshua S, Patterson, and Justin T. Akieme who will carry forward her memory with love. In her later years, Gwen was blessed with the faithful companionship and devoted care of her two dear friends, Patricia LaSane and Brenda Solomon and two devoted cousins, Hilda Alesia Foster and Erroka A. Johnson whose love and support brought her comfort and peace. She was also grateful for the assistance of her brief caregiver, Maxine Hamilton, who helped her attend doctor appointments and ensured she received the care she needed. She also leaves a host aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, friends, and acquaintances.

Gwen's legacy is one of resilience, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her quiet strength, and the deep love she held for family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the lessons she shared and the love she gave will continue to live on in all who knew her.

May she rest in Eternal Peace.
